Zary Ghotbi, 90 of Ottawa passed away and entered Heaven’s gates on Thursday April 02, 2020 at 12:07 pm, with her son by her bedside holding her in his arms.
Born April 29, 1929, in Rasht-Iran she is predeceased by her beloved late husband of 62 years, Mohammad Naghi Akhavain of Rasht-Iran.
A spirited iron-willed lady, a devoted wife, and a loving, dedicated mother and grand ma, Zary was one of the kindest, most amiable, generous, and compassionate human beings on this earth. Her love for life, her giving spirit, her devotion to doing good on earth, and her readiness to always extend a helping hand to total strangers were among her well known qualities that everyone adored and admired.
With the unique and rare combination of her fire and zeal for life, contagious kind caring smile, beautiful sweet gentle sole and selfless nature, love for music, and active life style along with her wisdom, fearlessness and driven personality, Zary easily stood out in any crowd anywhere in the world.
Zary had a great sense of style. She was a magnificent cook, an exceptional gardener, and a true nature and animal lover. She was a special sweet lady empowered with a super strong mountain like character that enabled her to push through all the countless difficulties and obstacles that life threw at her.
Zary was loved dearly by her children and grandchildren. She was a true role model whose first advice to anyone who came to know her was to be kind and generous to others, and not to take people for granted.
To our warrior, to our rebel, our thoughts and love will continue to be with you forever our dear Zary. Your compassion, wisdom, beauty, style and kindness touched so many. It is with great sadness and profound sense of loss that we see your rise to the Heavens. We will forever miss your affectionate hugs and infectious laughter - we’ll never let your fire dim.
The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her last days. For those who have known Zary in her fruitful journey with us, a private graveside service will be held at Pinecrest Cemetery located at 2500 Baseline Rd, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada on Monday, April 5, 2020.
