It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our beloved father, Opa and husband on Monday, August 8, 2022.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Eta (nee Muller) of 62 years.  His beloved children Stephan (Susan), Karen (Bruce), Michelle, Patrick (Sonya) and adored grandchildren, Jasper (Kenny), Dustin (Michyla), Ceilidh (Brandon), Stephen (Peary), Gregory (Peyton), Paige (Kody), Kiara, Joshua and Palmer.  His extended family and friends in Germany.

A very special thank you to Dr. Kelly and his palliative care nurse Melanie, without their support we would not have been able to care for him at home these past two weeks.  We would also like to thank Dr. Brennan, Dr. Labinaz, and Dr. Fairhead for their care and compassion the past several years.

Donations may be made to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute or the Ottawa Humane Society.  A Celebration of life will be held at a future date.

Weinet nicht an meinem Grabe, gönnet mir die ewige Ruh, denk was ich gelitten habe eh ich schloss die Augen zu.
