Boyd - William ‘Bill’

With a heavy heart we announce the death of William ‘Bill’ Boyd, who passed on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 in his 80th year.

Born in 1943 on August 24th in Ath Cliath, Dublin, Ireland. He moved to Canada in June 1955. Once in Canada he pursued his passion of horticulture, sharing his talent nationwide. In his younger years, Bill traveled around the world exploring new cultures, learning about tropical plants and of course having fun. You could often find Bill at his greenhouse, his happy place. He was well known for expertise in vegetables, especially tomatoes. Those who knew Bill, knew his sense of humor. To get a nickname from Bill was an honour.

He will be dearly missed by his daughter Lisa and her husband Ryan; granddaughters Katie & Ivy; sister Marcella; niece Marianne and nephew Brandon, as well as his many friends he made along the way.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 10th at 3pm at 2582 Roger Stevens Drive, North Gower, ON.
