SHERRING, William John
It is with such sadness we announce that Bill passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 with his loving wife Ann (Annie) Odgers-Sherring by his side. Bill, 66, was a very proud firefighter for more than 40 years with both Nepean and Ottawa. He was predeceased by his parents Ed and Helen Sherring. He leaves behind so many friends and family who loved him very much, including his two sons Adam (Cathy) and Corbett, their mother Alice Lariviere – and his very special grandchildren Sean and Sarah Sherring. Also survived by his three sisters Shirley Lander (Jim), Kathy Sherring (Gary Nettleton) and Susan Sherring, his Aunt Helen Callender (Sherring), sister-in-law Pat Odgers and Ann’s aunt Marjorie Heyworth (Booth). He is also missed by his nieces and nephews, Marc-Andre Garneau, Lianne Garneau, Karen Lander-Pinard, Lynn MacIntosh, Sue Haley, Peter Knowlton and James Knowlton. For his entire family, playing cards will never be quite as fun. The family wishes to thank the incredible caring staff at the Queensway-Carleton Hospital. As well, there were so many special and caring friends who were there for Bill and Annie during the last days of his life. Thanks will never be enough. Friends can pay their respects at
