Peacefully in hospital, Almonte, Ontario on Thursday, January 2, 2014 in his 94th year. Beloved husband of Shirley Steele for 61 years. Loving father to Dale (Ingrid) and Sheryl (Peter) Moorhouse. Proud grandfather to Christin, Lauren, Billy, David, Jonathan and great-grandfather to Edward. Fondly remembered by several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Mary Lois, Daisy, Doris and Gertrude. Predeceased by sisters Margaret, Ruth and by a brother George. Special thanks to the staff at the Carleton Place Hospital and the Rosamond Wing of the Almonte General Hospital for the care given to Dad. The family will receive friends at the Carleton Place Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 61 Lake Avenue West, on Monday, January 6, 2014 from 1pm until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 3:30 p.m. Spring interment United Cemeteries, Carleton Place.
