William James Moore, of Ottawa, Ontario, died after a brief illness on Sunday May 29.
Born in Ottawa on February 15, 1940, Billy boy was 82 years old – but not really. Whatever his body might have told him, his mind and heart were forever young. As a kid, Billy’s adventurous spirit and disregard for other peoples’ rules resulted in a lot of mischief raised with his twin brother Bobby; but whatever trouble he got in, he always had a knack for successfully navigating his way back to safer shores. Everyone who knew him can attest that this remained true all his life.
As a chartered accountant, Bill worked for over forty years with his partner Paul at McKechnie Moore. He never really stopped working, still seeing clients up to his final weeks. The business, and the people he served, were his pride, joy and life’s work.
Bill’s first wife Eleanor passed away 8 years ago, but he found love again with his dear wife Dona. He is also survived by his sons Rick and Michael (Roopa), grandchildren Britney, Devin, Alex and Narayan, brother Bobby, sisters-in-law Carole and Margaret, and friends too numerous to count. We will all miss Billy Boy more than words can say.
