With great sorrow to so many, Vivian Lois (Robertson) Campbell, aka Vava, peacefully passed away in her 94th year at Peter D. Clark Center, Ottawa. Her long-time and devoted friend from her Arts and Crafts days, Don Black, was with her as she made her transition into the afterlife. A special thank you goes to the Maple Unit at Peter D. Clark for their upmost care, devotion and love for Vivian. Vivian was a Registered Nurse and held great pride in her profession. She met her husband, Glenn A. Campbell (deceased, 2014), while working at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital. They married and moved to Ottawa where Vivian resumed nursing at the Ottawa Civic Hospital until she reached retirement. They adopted three beloved children: Neil (Jill Martin) Campbell, Laurie Campbell and L. Douglas Campbell. Also surviving Vivian are grandchildren Brendan Campbell and Harvest Campbell, three great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and brother-in-law, Donald Campbell (Lucille). Vivian had a close and nurturing relationship with both her sister, Phyllis (Robertson) Isbell (deceased) and her brother, David Robertson (deceased). Vivian and Glenn attended Bethany Baptist church where she enjoyed working with the garden group, volunteering her nursing skills at summer church activities and socializing with other members of the congregation. People were touched by Vivian’s generous, gentle and caring nature. She is sorely missed. Vivian’s Celebration of Life will take place at Bethany Baptist Church (382 Centrepointe Drive at Baseline Road, Ottawa) on November 9th 2024 from 1 pm to 4 pm.
