Verla Hayes

Verla was born on February 7th, 1921 in Apple Hill, ON; she passed away on July 7th, 2013 at the Perley and Rideau Nursing Home where she had lived since the fall of 2011. Daughter of the late Effie and Albert Clingen. Loving wife of the late Henry (Harry) Hayes. Predeceased by her son Robert (Bob) Hayes, and brothers Lloyd, Otto and infant Denzel Clingen. Verla is survived by her daughter Patricia Hayes and son Christopher Hayes, granddaughter Sairin Hayes (daughter of Bob) her husband Jeff Zavitz and their children Kyler, Raimi and Beckett, grandson Barry (son of Bob) and daughter-in-law Becci Hayes (nee Iarocci). Beloved mom, grandma and great-grandma she will be deeply missed and often remembered through the stories we love to tell. Visitation will be at the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 403 Richmond Road, (at Roosevelt) on Thursday, July 11th, 2013 from 7 to 9 p.m. A private family interment will be held at Pinecrest Cemetery.
