Valerie Argo Robertson

Surrounded by her family, in the Ottawa General hospital on Friday, October 13, 2023, at the age of 80.  Predeceased by her beloved husband Fredrick John Robertson.  Loving mother of Graham Argo Robertson (Katherine Elizabeth Dare) and Bruce McLeod Robertson.  Cherished sister of Veronica Alexander.  Fondly remembered by her cousins Davina Propert Lewis (Michael) and David Montague-Smith (Jill).  Greatly missed by friends Marion Law (Ian Curry) and Sybil McAleese (Ray) and her many friends and her colleagues at the Pest Management Regulatory Agency.

Those who know Valerie will remember her for her generosity of spirit, compassion for others and enjoyment of bringing family and friends together. She had a talent for keeping people connected through her famed hospitality and love of entertaining.  Valerie had many interests. She loved the outdoors and being active. Occupying her retirement with activities such as cross-country skiing, kayaking, gardening, nature walks and volunteering at the Cancer Center and recently contributing to the Pinehill Community Centre.

Respecting her wishes, cremation has taken place.  A gathering with her two sons and close friends will be held later (date and location TBD).

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society for Cancer Research.
