Valda Edith Brooks

In her 95th year, Valda Brooks (nee Bennett) passed away peacefully in hospital of natural causes. She is survived by her daughters Deborah, Shirley (Jacques) and Kathleen, grandchildren Laura, Jason and Alex (Emilie), great grandchildren Tyson, Kyah, Signy and Freya, and many nieces, nephews and their families, all wishing her a safe and peaceful passage.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at St. Paul's Anglican Church, 20 Young Road, Kanata, at 11:00am. Everyone is welcome to say a few words in honour of this sweet woman. Refreshments will be served after the service in the church Common room.

Valda will be laid to rest at Capital Memorial Gardens beside her beloved husband James in April 2025 where all are welcome to attend. Details to be confirmed at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ottawa Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
