Thomas Eyre

It is with great sadness that the Eyre family announces the passing of Thomas Arnold Percy Eyre on the morning of July 21, 2022, surrounded by family. Arnold was born on May 30, 1933, in the Tullymet Teacherage, on the Northwest Quarter of Section 31, Township 23, Range 11, West of the Second Meridian, in the province of Saskatchewan, to the late Thomas and Kay Eyre. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Joan, his daughter Sharon, his son Brad, his grandson Christopher, his brothers Ivan and Wayne, as well as nieces and nephews. While serving seventeen years as an officer in the Royal Canadian Navy, Arnold finished his education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He was then a consultant for four years in the private sector before founding Promaxis Systems Inc. (formerly Eyretechnics Limited) in 1971, which is successfully operating to this day. He loved his prairie roots and visited frequently staying in touch with old school friends throughout time. At Arnold’s request, there will be no funeral service. Donations can be made to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute in his honour.
