Thomas Denton Dawson

Denny passed away peacefully at The Ottawa Hospital with his family by his side.  Beloved husband of Shirley Dawson (Healey) for 55 years.  

Loving father of Donald (Juehee) and Deanna Diaz (Dan). Grandpa extraordinaire to Isaac and Joshua.  Predeceased by his parents Bert and Violet Dawson (Rooke), and by his brother Lindsay (Donna). He is survived by one brother Allan (Louise) and several nieces and nephews.  

A native of Hintonburg and the West End, Denny moved with Shirley to Carp where they raised their family and enjoyed country living.  Machinist by trade; carpenter, handyman, mechanic and problem solver by calling, Denny was a hard worker who loved to tell you about it while chatting over a beer or ice cream. Many thanks to the entire ICU team at the General, who cared for Denny during his final days. 

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Tubman Funeral Home in Carp on Friday May 31 from 2-4 pm or 7-9 pm. Funeral service in the chapel at the same location on Saturday June 1 at 11 am.
