Passed away peacefully, following a brief illness. Beloved wife of Cyrill for 60 years. Loving mother of Michael (Anne Marie) and Peter. Loving Oma of Keelin Marie Alexandra. She will also be missed by brother-in-law Gabriel Hollo (Christiane), cousin Arthur Cameron (Roland, MB) and extended family Richard and Jinny Talbot (Sidney, BC). Thelma was the only child of, and predeceased by her parents, Murray Harper of Grandview, MB (1938) and Annie Reid Harper in Winnipeg (2001). Thelma decided to become a teacher, graduating in 1950 from the Normal School in Winnipeg and started her teaching career with the Winnipeg School Board. She furthered her education, graduating from the University of Manitoba Music School with a degree as associate performing in Piano and a degree as performer in Singing. While living with her husband Cyrill in Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein, she was on the teaching staff of the Liechtenstein Music School in Vaduz. During these years she acquired a good fluency in the German language. She retired in 1991 after 24 years' service with the Liechtenstein Music School. A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 153 Woodroffe Ave.(at Byron) from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am, followed by a reception.
