Terence (Terry) Thompson
April 3 1936- March 24th 2021
Terence (Terry) Paul Thompson left peacefully with the comfort of his wife of 53 years at his side. Husband to Enid Muriel (Nee Smith), Father to Paul Terrence (Kelli), Andrew Vibert (Kari) and Scott William (Teresa). Grandfather to Fiona, Callum, Kaleb, Hailey, Alicia, Cohen, Mackenzie and Parker.
Terry spent his life furthering his knowledge of Christ and the Anglican Diocese and his greatest joy was being a Lay Reader in many churches in around Ontario.
After proudly serving in the British Military as a chef, when Terry emigrated to Canada to marry the love of his life, he worked at Dominion Grocers, then Canadian Tire (Kanata and Kingston) from which after over 20 years of service he retired. In his earlier years, many hours were spent volunteering with the Lions Club (Seeley’s Bay) and Ryandale House (Kingston).
Since 2018, the entire staff at Garden Terrace were like an extended family to Terry and Enid; the family is very appreciative of the loving care they bestowed upon him.
A Celebration of Life will take place in the future as COVID restrictions and weather improve. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make donations to the Alzheimer Society
