Sylvia Pierce

Sylvia passed away peacefully at the Ottawa Civic Hospital on Monday, October 24, 2022.  She was predeceased by her parents Norman H. Cole and Bona Cole (nee Carter), her first husband Keith Niblock (d. 1999) and second husband Ian Pierce (d. 2010).  Loving mother of Scott Niblock (Lynn-Marie Shapcott).  Proud grandmother of Liam Niblock.  Cherished sister of the late Norman A. Cole (Doris) and Robert E. Cole (Shirley).  Sylvia will also be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  A special thank you to Dr. Mark Clemons and Fiona of the Irving Greenberg Cancer Treatment Center, as well as Dr Peter Cross. Thank you to the staff at the Ottawa Civic Hospital for caring for her in her last moments. A very special thank you to all the staff and exceptional PSW’S at the Revera Prince of Wales Manor, Barrhaven.  A celebration of life will be held on June 2, 2023, at Pinecrest Cemetery.  For those wishing, donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
