Susan Grant

After 2 years of uncertain illness and following a recent diagnosis of terminal cancer, Susan – a.k.a. Sue -passed away at her home in Carp with family by her side on Wednesday, June 28th, 2023. Beloved wife of Pierre Gérald Simard for over 35 years, Sue is survived by her son Zachary Benjamin Grant Simard and her daughter Madeleine Josée Simard, both of whom were her pride and joy. Daughter of the late Ray Grant and Sylvia Grant and sister to Robert Grant and Gail Donovan. Known throughout the village of Carp due to her family’s deep community ties there, Sue will be remembered for her fierce candour and conviction to her ideals. Appreciated for her contagious laugh and smile that lit up any room.
