Stephen Bitton

It is with broken hearts that the family of Stephen John Matthew Bitton announces his sudden, yet peaceful passing on December 6, 2024. Steve was a loving husband and devoted father who made even the simplest things in life special for his family.

He loved playing sports with his children, talking about politics, movies and music, going on walks in the woods, spending time at the beach with his family and traveling. He was always up for adventure, including living and working abroad, traveling to many parts of the world, and figuring out how to get our dog to stop stealing and running away with other dogs’ balls at the park.

Steve studied Electrical Engineering at Queen’s University and then spent the next 25 years working passionately in various roles in his field; leaving a lasting impression on everyone he had the pleasure to work with.

Steve is survived by his wife of 22 years, Yvonne Rosehart, his three beautiful sons Gavin (17), Reid (14) and Wyatt (11), his parents Steve and Anna Bitton, his brother Michael (Pauline) Bitton, his sisters Amanda Kaye and Angelica (Dave) Francoeur, his nephews Ethan, Noah, Simon, Edison, Olivier and his nieces Quinn, Tessa and Evelynne. Preceded in death by his grandparents Cleveland and Mary Bitton, and John and Bronislawa Sidorko.

In this time of sadness, may Steve be remembered as someone who looked to find connections and friendship between us, who was quick to laugh and see the best in everyone and who moved through this world with unending kindness.

Funeral services will be on December 14, 2024, at Tubman’s Funeral Home – Garden Chapel. The service will be at 1pm with a reception to follow from 2pm to 4pm.
