It is with heavy hearts we share the passing of our beloved mother, Sharon Riddell. She had a long and brave battle with cancer and was taken on August 9, 2022.
Sharon will be missed by her daughters, Christine Riddell and Catherine Riddell, her son-in-law, Glen MacEachern, and grandchildren, Benjamin Kim, Isaac MacEachern and June MacEachern. Sharon was pre-deceased by her husband Paul Riddell and her parents.
Sharon was truly blessed to have the incredible and loving staff at Hazeldean Gardens care for her in her final years, where she was treated like family.
Anyone who knew Sharon knew that she was her own unique woman, going through life with her own set of rules and this was true up until the very end. She loved the ocean, music, books, her deck in her beautiful backyard, and loved her friends and family with all her heart.
It is Sharon’s request that there be no funeral and no photo in her obituary. To know her is to love her and those who knew her will understand that these requests are right in line with Sharon’s individuality. Sharon has requested that her ashes be scattered off the Island of Grand Bahama, Lucaya.
For those who wish to honour Sharon, in lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Oceana Canada.
May you swim with the dolphins and rest in peace. We love you.
