Sara died suddenly, in hospital, of complications due to the long term side effects of childhood cancer treatment, BMT, congestive heart failure and influenza. Sara is the cherished daughter of Rosemary O'Neill and Charles Fields and the beloved little sister of Andrew Fields. Sara's greatest loves were her nephew Carter Fields, and her sheltiedoggie Cupcake. Sara leaves her loving and greatly loved Big Bubbie, Beverly Fields, her Uncle Jeffrey, her Auntie Leona and Uncle Wayne as well as cousins Kaylin and Rachel. She will be missed by her Uncle Michael, Aunt Linda and cousins Tony and Liam as well as her Auntie Terryann and Uncle Christopher, Aunt Lita and cousin Matthew as well as a large extended family whom she loved deeply. She is predeceased by her Grandparents Gerard and Mary Ann O'Neill. She leaves her "blood family", the Bergman's, to whom we will forever be grateful for the gift of bone marrow from Hans that prolonged Sara's life for twenty years. We wish to thank the hundreds of health professionals who, for twenty five years have helped to keep Sara crabby but in good health. Special hugs go out to Karin and Pam. On Tuesday December 23rd at the Garden Chapel Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road( between Baseline and Bayshore Dr.) There will be a brief visitation from 12:00 to 1:00 and then the funeral service will take place at 1:00 in the chapel. A private burial will take place in Montreal at a future date.
