Samuel Ancheta

Samuel Ancheta, 78, died peacefully on December 14, 2021 surrounded by loved ones at the Queensway Carleton Hospital after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer for 1.5 years.

Samuel was born July 30, 1943 to Manuel and Lucia Ancheta in Camalaniugan, Philippines and was the youngest of 7 siblings.  He graduated with an electrical engineering degree which he was able to translate into a 29 year career with Bell Canada.

Samuel is survived by his beautiful wife Julie, his daughter Jill and son Christian.  He was preceded in death by his eldest child Russell who passed in 1986 at the age of 10.  Samuel was a proud “Lolo” to his 3 grandchildren Ethan, Brayden and Hayley and he will sadly miss the arrival of his grandson Jordan in early 2022.  He will be greatly missed by his son-in Law Shane, daughter-in law Cherie and his numerous nieces, nephews and extensive extended family and friends.
