Dubrule, Ruth (Nee Holmes)

Died peacefully at the Ottawa Civic Hospital after a brief illness on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at the age of 97. Predeceased by her parents: Leslie Holmes and Clara Armstrong, her husband, Raymond Dubrule and a nephew, Father Joe McAuley. She is survived by three nephews and their spouses: David Dubrule and Jane Hutchingame; Paul Dubrule and Elizabeth Wheeler; and Frank and Ruth-Anne McAuley as well as a number of cousins within the Armstrong family. A life-long resident of Ottawa, Ruth grew up in Westboro and attended Nepean High School before entering Queen's University from which she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1942. Upon graduation, Ruth embarked upon a 33 year career with the Federal Public Service in Ottawa, primarily within the Department of National Revenue. There will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday July 25, 2018 at St. Mark the Evangelist Church, 1606 Fisher Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario. Interment will follow at a later date at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Cemetery in Spencerville, Ontario.
