Peacefully at the Ravines Residence in Ottawa with the thoughts and prayers of her family and friends; with sons Rob and Angus by her side at the end. Predeceased by her husband of more than 60 years, Peter Howard Douglas MacArthur. Loving sons Hugh (Eleni) James, Robert, Angus (Predeceased by daughter-in-law Kerry) (Amita). Proud grandmother of Duncan, Emily, Jack, Riya, Amy Vasagam (Denver), Ryan Withyman (Ana). Great grandmother to Teegan, Kaydence, Calliope and Imre; Liam and Chelsea.
A graduate of Queen's University in Kingston, Rosemary dedicated her life to being a proud mother and grandmother and a fierce advocate for all children. She taught piano to a host of children in Richmond for many years. She was a dedicated member of the Richmond Village Association later in life. Rosemary was also an accomplished watercolour painter and delighted her grandchildren with illustrated children’s stories.
Visitation will be at Tubman’s Funeral Home (Westboro Chapel) on Saturday November 30 from 2pm to 4pm
A Memorial Service/Celebration of Life will be planned for sometime in 2025.
Rosemary was a supporter of Christie Lake Camp for underprivileged kids. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation in her name to help kids have a camp experience. Christie Lake Kids.
