Stevenard, Robin William
June 9, 1972 - December 9, 2017
Passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 9, 2017 surrounded by family at his home in Carp at the age of 45. Robin is survived by his loving wife and best friend Patricia Boyd and by his daughter Etta (5) and son Finn (2). Beloved son of Orville and Linda Stevenard. Dear brother of Cheryl (Jim) and Stacy (Jordan). Special Uncle to Amy, Ivy, Haley and Justin. Robin will be fondly remembered by his many Aunts, Uncles and cousins in the Stevenard, Vokey, Boyd and Finner families. He will be missed by his sisters in law Heather and Colleen (Nick) and many friends.
Robin was born in Lachine, Quebec and moved to Brampton where he started Kindergarten. He attended Heart Lake High and was always the life of the party. He has made many great friends along the way and enjoyed his work at Pizza Nova, Ollie's Cycle & Ski, Neilson Dairy, Reimer Express, Dickie Moore and OC Transpo.
Robin's lifelong passion has always been hockey, and everything that goes with it. He was the guy you go to when you needed something but couldn't find it – Robin would find it! He also became "The Guy" to go to when you need your skates sharpened.
Etta and Finn couldn't have had a more perfect Daddy, always willing to go outside and build an ice slide…in -20 weather or set up a pool or sprinkler or dance and sing made up funny songs. I will ask that when you see them to help keep his memory alive by sharing stories of him with them ߙ
His sisters refer to Robin as "The Golden Child" because he could do no wrong in the eyes of his parents. He was the perfect son and brother and was incredibly close with all of his cousins. Family was very important to him.
Words can't express how much I will miss him, his smile, his laugh, his amazing sense of humour, his sense of adventure and his enveloping hugs.
He had a special way of making everything better than how he found it. He was an amazing man and was loved by everyone who was lucky enough to meet him.
Special thanks to Dr. Turcotte and the staff at the Almonte General Hospital and to the homecare nurses for the amazing care given to Robin. Family and friends are invited to an informal gathering to honour and remember Robin on Saturday, December 16, 2017 from 7 to …………. at the Carp Agricultural Hall. For those who wish, please consider a memorial donation in Robin's memory to the Almonte General Hospital, Brain Cancer Awareness or a Trust Fund (set up at the Scotiabank in Carp) for Etta and Finn.
