Peacefully on October 5, 2015 at the age of 93 years. Loving husband of the late Irma Jupp (nee Warkentin). Dear father of Joy Murphy, Peter and Elizabeth Jupp (Marc Beauchamp). Proud grand-father of Sean Murphy, Annabelle, Clara, Thomas and William. Predeceased by his sister Shirley Gellatly and brothers Jack and Gordon (Victoria). Bill flew Halifax Bombers with 415 Squadron during the Second World War, he also flew CF86 Sabres with 422 Squadron in Germany during the Cold war. He enjoyed a second career as a professional musician and as a well-loved High School Music Teacher for the Ottawa Board of Education at Sir Wilfred Laurier and Woodroffe High Schools. The family would like to thank the staff at the Perley and Rideau Veterans Health Centre for their wonderful care and also thank everyone for their continuous support, especially his musician and RCAF extended families. Friends may call at the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes403 Richmond Road at Roosevelt Avenue on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 from 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the Humane Society or the Perley and Rideau Veterans Health Centre would be appreciated.
