Priscilla Tims

Priscilla Ann Tims (nee Fisk), passed away peacefully at the Ottawa General Hospital on October 18, 2022, at the age of 82.

She was predeceased by her parents, husband, and brother Paul. She is survived by her brother Allison (Lorraine), daughter Margaret (Mike) living in Ottawa, son Andrew (Karen) and grandson Connor in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Mom was born in Woodstock, NB to Vilma and Newell Fisk on August 29, 1940, and lived most of her younger years in Fredericton, where she attended Teachers College and met and married the love of her life, James, in 1961. The life as a wife of a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police certainly brought challenges and rewards.

Mom was an active member of Knox United Church in a number of different capacities, including the church choir and Executive. She was always available to offer advice or some cheer, especially during the last couple of years during the weekly quilting gatherings in her living room.

Many will also remember her from her enjoyment of breeding and showing Soft-Coated Wheaten Terriers for many years, producing loving pets for many families.

As per her wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at the Knox United Church on Saturday, October 29, 2022, @ 1pm, followed by a gathering at the family home.
