Peter Dawson

Dawson, Peter Alexander “Pete”, passed at home on Monday, November 23rd, 2020 at age 82.  Son of the late Alex Dawson and Fern Dawson.  Son-in-law of the late Irma Morin.  Pete is survived by his wife Cathy (née Morin), his children Jennifer Dawson, David Dawson and Julia McDougall, his Granddaughters Audree and Evelyn, and his sisters Judy Reiter and Ann Swanwick.  Peter served in the Army (RCEME) for 3 years.  Peter joined the Ottawa Police force in 1960 and retired in 1994.  Peter was an active member of the Canadian Legion, Bells Corners Branch. He was recently awarded the “Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers”.  Peter will be lovingly remembered by his extended family and his many friends.
