It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Paul Mullins on October 17, 2023 at the age of 54. Loving husband of 29 years to Carey Ann Mullins (Power). He was the most loving and devoted father to Riley and Anna and the best dog dad to Ally. Beloved son of Lowell (deceased) and Florence, and Son-in-Law of Ron and Margaret Power. Cherished Brother to Mark (Mullins), Monique (Mullins-Roberts), brother in law Dave Roberts, Brother-in-Law to Robin Power and Sondra Power(Collier) and sister in law Kathy MacLeod. Proud and most loving Uncle to Andrew, Renae, Emma, Ryder and Avery.
Paul was a loyal friend and touched the lives of countless people in his home province of Nova Scotia, in his wife’s home province of Newfoundland, in our home town of Ottawa for the past 27 years and wherever he went in both his personal and professional life.
Paul graduated from St Francis Xavier University with both a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Business degree and then went on to study at ITI in Ottawa. He then went on to have an amazing career in IT for the past 2 and a half decades where he made many many great friends. Paul was so dedicated to his family and always made sure they were more than provided for and felt love daily.
He was an avid gardener who continued to carry on his fathers love of gardening. He loved to travel and created many great experiences and memories with his family. He always looked at the positive in life and was filled with an abundance of joy and happiness. His smile and energy was contagious. He was a selfless person who put the needs of his family and friends before all else. Paul was a the most gentle. kind, loving man you could meet.
Paul will be sorely missed but never ever forgotten. Anna, Riley and I will carry on his legacy and continue to do things that will make him proud and happy.
Our gratitude goes out to so many people for all of the love, generosity and support we have received. We have been blessed with special angels (you know who you are) that have been by our side day and night in our darkest moments. We are eternally grateful. The overwhelming love and support we have received is a true testament to Paul and the way he lived his life.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 3 at at 1:00pm at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean (between Bayshore and Baseline Road) . Reception to follow.
