"Just take my hand,
And rest your heart,
And stay awhile with me."
At home, surrounded by the love of his family, Ray left to be with his Lord on Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013. He will be sorely missed by his wife Beata, and his beloved children Christopher (Eva) and Suzanne (Ren), Karyn and David (Carol). He will forever hold a special place in the hearts of his grandchildren, Lisa, Machaela, Thomas, Caden, Elena and Felicity, as their mentor and guide. Ray will be mourned by his dear brother Peter, his nephew Jason and niece Stephanie, and by many friends and colleagues. Predeceased by his parents Joffre and Mary Fournier. Ray enjoyed a significant career with the RCMP and later, CSIS. He sought to make a difference in his world. In his retirement he knew that true happiness lies in the love of family and friends. He lived his life with quiet dignity and integrity and fought his final battle with cancer the same way. Friends are invited to join the family in bidding farewell to Raymond on Monday, December 2nd , 11 a.m., at Holy Redeemer, 44 Rothesay Drive, Kanata. Reception and time to visit with family to follow at the church. Internment, Beechwood Cemetery, 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.
