Patricia Helen Hutchison

The family of Patricia Helen Hutchison announces her death on November 6,2024 at age 95, after living a long, happy and fulfilling life.

Patricia was born in Ottawa and adopted by Ruby Pinhey of Carp, where she spent her formative years and was welcomed and encircled by both the Pinhey and Snelgrove clan.

She spent her working life between Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto, eventually returning to Ottawa to work and retire from Bell Canada. She enjoyed living downtown, close to Bell, her church and many restaurants. She filled many retirement hours on sewing classes, creative writing and even a P.I course. She loved to make teddy bears for family and friends, playing her keyboard, knitting and always singing. She had a wonderful voice. Her singing brought her to good companions, the choir at church and making many new like-minded friends.

She had a fiercely independent spirit. She leaves a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 403 Richmond Road on Saturday May 10, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. followed by light refreshments. A private interment of her urn will take place at a later date.

Rest in peace Pat. You were and will always be Aunty Pat to us all. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Pinhey's Point Foundation or to the St. Mary's North March cemetery fund would be appreciated.
