Pamela Reynolds (nee Turner)
1934-2021
It is with heavy hearts that our family announces the passing of Pamela Reynolds (nee Turner) who died suddenly in Ottawa on Monday, November 1st. Pam was pre-deceased by her loving husband Peter and was mother to James, Michael (Susan) and Samantha (Craig). She was a proud Nona/Nono to her grandchildren Rachel, Peter, Cameron, Liam and John. Born in Glasgow, Scotland on September 8th, 1934, Pamela was raised in London, England. She briefly lived in Canada and the US prior to World War II. Growing up in London during the war greatly shaped her life. Her passion for history and, specifically, Winston Churchill was shared with all those close to her. Pam was educated in England and later attended college in Switzerland. In June of 1962 she married the love of her life, Peter Reynolds. Their three children were born in Yorkshire prior to the family emigrating to Powell River BC in 1966. In 1969, the family moved to Nanaimo, BC which she called home until shortly after the passing of Peter in April 2008. The entire family proudly became Canadian citizens in 1971. Pamela moved to Ottawa in August of 2010 to be closer to family. She was a founding member of the Churchill Society of Ottawa, an active member of Friends of the National Arts Centre Orchestra, and a member of Probus of Ottawa West. A private memorial service will be held for the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to
Operation Eyesight Universal, 4 Parkdale Crescent NW, Calgary AB T2N 9Z9.
