Norman Bateson

June 30, 1922 — August 22, 2014

BATESON, Norman “Pete” passed away at the Queensway Carleton Hospital on Friday, August 22, 2014 at the age of 92 years. The twin of Doris, he was born in
Glasgow into a family of musicians. He was christened Norman after Norman Clay, a vaudeville performer. He served with the British Army
in Rhodesia during the war. In 1956 he immigrated to Canada and began working for a laboratory in Montreal. He was a champion curler
and played bowls with considerable verve. The interment took place at Pinecrest Cemetery on September 1st, 2014. He will be missed by
his many friends in Montreal and Nepean, Ottawa and by his nephews and nieces in Europe.
