SOMERS, Nora (née Ryan)

Peacefully, on December 25, 2017, surrounded by family members, in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Earl Somers. Predeceased by her son Harold. Nora was the cherished daughter of the late Dennis Ryan and the late Mary Gahagan. Predeceased by her sisters, Margaret (late Patrick Maloney), Stella (late Patrick Murphy) and Carmel, and her brothers: Frank, George, Philip and Patrick (late Nora Burke and the late Kaye Anderson). Survived by her children: Danny (Lynne), Mary Jean (Steve), Elaine (Christian), Glenn (Christine) and her three granddaughters: Kate, Sarah and Camille. Also survived by her brother-in-law Wilbert Somers (late Agathe Perras) and sister-in-law Eleanor McDonough (late Don McDonough) and nieces and nephews. Friends and family may pay their respects at the Cadieux Tubman Funeral Home, 322 Avenue de Buckingham, Gatineau on Friday December 29, 2017 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm, and on Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 9 to 10:30 am followed by a funeral mass at St. Malachy's Church in Mayo, Quebec at 11:00 am. A reception will follow at the Hill and Gully Riders' Snowmobile Clubhouse, 149 Chemin Inlet, Mulgrave- et-Derry, QC.
