Nora Mary Casterton
In the late morning of Saturday, July 12, 2014, Nora passed away peacefully in the presence of her family after a courageous and determined battle. Beloved wife of James (Jim), devoted mother of Drew, Lee, and Ian, cherished aunt of Erin, Jodie and Mark McGrath, Ryan and Jenna Casterton, and relative and friend to many more; Nora was an inspiration to us all. She was strong, adventurous, caring, and full of life and love until her time came to be reunited in heaven with her father and mother, Malcolm and Agnes Blair-McGuffie. We have lost an angel on earth, but the heavens are now brighter with her guiding light. Her memory and influence will live on in our hearts and minds forever. The family extends its appreciation to Dr. Amit Oza and his staff at the Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto and to Dr. Christine Rivet and staff at the Family Medicine Centre, Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus for their care and attention. Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Rd., Nepean (between Bayshore Dr. and Baseline Rd.) on Wednesday, July 16th from 6 - 8 pm and on Thursday, July 17th from 2 - 4 & 6 - 8 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Basil's Catholic Church, 940 Rex Ave., Ottawa on Friday, July 18th at 11:00 am.
