Neta Clarke

Peacefully in hospital on Thursday, January 23, 2025 in her 102nd year . Beloved wife of the late Earl Clarke. Neta will be fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews.

Neta was a legend in the real estate community. Neta opened her company, Neta Clarke Real Estate Limited in Manotick in 1968, which became one of the most successful independently owned brokerages in the Ottawa area. Neta merged her business with Royal Lepage in 1995. Neta always strived to be involved, both in business and with her family. She became president of the Ottawa Real Estate Board, chairman of the Canadian Automobile Association and chairman of the Ottawa Business Women’s Network. Neta was a positive inspiration to women in business and became a mentor to so many.

Neta and Earl enjoyed life living on the river in Manotick. They were strong members of the community and were very generous with their support over the years.

A funeral service and interment will be held in the spring.

Neta established a fund in 1989 which supports charities working across the spectrum in Ottawa, working on poverty and food insecurity, supporting children and families, the environment and social services.
