In the home that he built with his own hands in 1958, he passed away with his loving and supportive family right by his side on February 8, 2018 at the young and spry age of 94. Loving husband and dependable provider for over 70 years to the late Dorothy (nee Bourdeau). Loving father of Linda (Kerry) Corbin, Judy (deceased), Diana, David and Karen. Cherished grandfather of Amanda (Jim) Silverthorn, Lisa Corbin, Jessi DalGrande, and Sadie. Dear great grandfather of Ellie and Maya. Born in Lowertown Ottawa in 1923, son of the late Ida (nee Sauvé) and Nelson Langevin, one of five children - Gabrielle, Liliane, Rene and Cecile. As an able-bodied seaman with the British Navy Combined Operations Nelson participated in the Dieppe raid, the Invasions of North Africa, Sicily and Italy. Friends may visit at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean, ON, (between Bayshore and Baseline Rd.) on Sunday, February 18, 2018 from 12 noon until time of memorial service in the chapel at 2 p.m. Those wishing may make donations to the Salvation Army or Operation Veteran.
