Naomi Martin

March 20, 1974 — July 4, 2024

With deep sorrow, we would like to let you know that Naomi Pizarro Martin passed away on July 4, 2024.

She was the proud mother of son Aaron and daughter Helena, and loving partner of Jay. She was also a dear sister, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, aunt, friend, classmate, sis, and colleague to those who were lucky to have made memories with her. She lived a full life and showed the world that anything is possible.

Born in Manila, Philippines, Naomi grew up surrounded by many loved ones, particularly her father, Fred (+), who encouraged her to be the best that she could be. She was an exceptional student and achieved numerous academic accolades. Naomi was an accomplished healthcare executive, combining her knowledge from her multiple degrees (M.D., Master of Global Health Policy, Master of Science, and M.B.A.) to make significant and unique contributions to the pharmaceutical and consumer health industries, where she worked for 25 years. She was also a nurturing mentor to those who looked up to her, encouraging them to similarly pursue their dreams and reach their full potential.

Despite her focus on her professional success, she always made time to cultivate and nurture her relationships with her family, friends, classmates, and colleagues. She continued to pursue the best for both herself and her family when she moved to Canada in 2014.

Naomi was also known for her love of travel, food, baking, fashion, and dancing. In her travels, she met many people from all over the world with whom she connected with and created lasting friendships. Her trips with her family are some of her most cherished memories, and she leaves behind nothing but beautiful moments for her loved ones to remember her by.

Naomi was one of the brightest stars, and those who shared her life with her will surely miss basking in her light. She was inspiring, fierce, proud, and full of love for others.

The family would like to thank the staff at Tubman Funeral Homes for all their support and kindness during this difficult time. Naomi always believed in paying things forward, so in lieu of sending her flowers, we ask that you donate something to your favourite charity.
