It is with great sadness that the family of Mona Constance Thompson (Higgins) announce her passing on Tuesday, April 13th, 2021, at the age of 82, with her daughter Susan and son-in-law, Jim at her side.

Mona was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her children, Kevin (Sharon), Susan (Jim), Michael, Christopher (Kristen), and predeceased by her cherished daughter, Kelly. She will also be missed by her grandchildren, Scott (Jayme), Tarah (Derek), Kirk (Marie), Caitlin (John), Kieran (Karena), and Merighan, as well as great grandchildren, Colton, Kinley, Mac and Tadhg.

Mona was also predeceased by her parents Denzil and Mabel, her sister, Merle, and her brother Barry. She was also predeceased by her children’s father Clare.

Mom’s greatest joys in her life were her family, extended family and friends. We will always cherish the memories of her at many gatherings, especially the family trip to the Cayman Islands. We will all miss her, as she was the life of the party.

Due to the trying times, there will be no memorial or funeral service. Please celebrate Mona’s life with happy memories. Family and friends will gather later this year to celebrate Mona’s extraordinary life when it is safe to do so where we will raise a glass to salute a life well lived.
