Molly Lillemark

Peacefully at Longfields Manor on July 11, 2013 at the age of 87. Predeceased by her husband Arne Lillemark and her son John. Loving mother of Kate (Bill Galbraith) and Neil (Holy Jin). Cherished Mormor to David (Sarah), Karen (Ryan) and James and Beloved Farmor to Danlin and Hansen. Survived by her brother in Denmark John (Inge) Madsen and many other relatives in Denmark. Molly immigrated to Canada along with Arne and Kate in 1957 and adapted to the new country, learning English, and Canadian customs. Along with Arne, Molly travelled extensively in Canada, the United States and Europe. Molly's hobbies included landscape painting, a former member of the Nepean Art League, former member of the Ladies Crystal Beach Bowling League for many years. She began learning to play the piano at 72! She was active at Christ Risen Lutheran Church where she was a dedicated choir member, member of the ladies alter guild, a Sunday School teacher, and nursery convener. She enjoyed keeping Danish traditions alive, such as baking and Danish cuisine, and especially at Christmas. One proud moment was obtaining her driver's license in 1964 unbeknownst to Arne while he was out of town frequently on business. The family gives special thanks to dedicated staff at Longfields Manor who helped care for her over the past four years, especially Mercedes, Genet, Vince and Suzanne and many other staff who helped make her life there more active and enjoyable. She was the best Mormor/Farmor and will always be in our hearts and memories. Friends may visit at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road (between Baseline and Bayshore Dr) on Sunday, July 14, 2013 from 2 to 4 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Christ Risen Lutheran Church, 85 Leacock Dr. Kanata on Monday, July 15, 2013 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Foundation would be appreciated
