Long time resident of Ottawa, Ontario, Melodie Sadler passed away peacefully at Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice on April 13th, 2024 with her sisters Donna & Debbie and niece Marcail by her side, at the age of 67.
Predeceased by her mother Neillie Middleton and father Donald Sadler.
Melodie will be lovingly remembered by her sisters and brothers-in-law: Donna & John, Debbie & Bruce; Nieces: Erin (Joe), Marcail; Nephews: Garrett, Reid (Lindsay); Aunt Marlene & Uncle Doug, cousin David, and her beloved dog Griffin.
We are eternally grateful to Dr. Claire Dyason for her role in Mel’s journey. Your empathy and dedication allowed us the gift of caring for Mel in her home. For the compassion shown by Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice in Mel’s final days, and the Champlain Health Team, thank you. To Mel’s entire community and beloved friends, we love you. Thank you for your kindness, devotion and support. We are forever grateful for your friendships. Mel’s legacy was the love she gave, without limitation, without hesitation. She will be missed immeasurably.
A celebration of her life will be held in the summer. In lieu of flowers, donations in Melodie’s name can be made to: Hospice Care Ottawa, Doctors Without Borders & The Shepherds of Good Hope.
