Maurice Ronald Prevost
April 1, 1935 – November 6, 2020
Maurice Prevost, passed away peacefully in Ottawa, Ontario, at the age of 85. Veteran of the Canadian Army (Active Force), Korean War.
Son of the late Maurice Prevost and Rita Waters (Gimson). Predeceased by his loving wife Doreen Dowd (of 33 years), his first wife Valerie Prevost and daughter Suzanne. Fondly remembered by his children from his wife Valerie: Joey-Lee (Barry), Robyn (Marc), Mark (Heather), Michael (Jocelyn), and Carol (Nicky). Grandfather of Taylor, Adrian, Jordan, Alexis, Loni, Derick and Vincent and great grandfather of many great-grandchildren. Proud brother of Lillian, Joan, Isabelle, Jacqueline, Carol and Jimmy and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to his friends in his neighbourhood. We would also like to express our gratitude to Dr. Stuart MacLeod, Dr. Lisa Cross, support staff, nurses, and volunteers at the Ruddy Shenkman Hospice Centre in Kanata Kanata, Bayshore and the Bruyère palliative care team.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 12, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 p.m. and Friday, November 13, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 13, at noon. Burial to be at a later date. Arrangements are by Tubman Funeral Home, 403 Richmond Road.
