Martin L Foubert

Martin Lawrence Foubert born April 7th, 1952 in Kingston, Ontario, passed away in Ottawa, Ontario on August 2nd, 2024, in the arms of his loving wife, Karen, from a sudden and unexpected heart attack. 

 Martin was predeceased by his parents, Lawrence and Mary (nee O’Reilly), his first wife, Janice (nee Wenslawek) and his brother, Clancy. Martin is survived by his wife of 29 years, Karen (nee Weir). Loving father to Andreas and Sonja (Michel Dupuis), beloved brother to Cheryl (Ross Labute) and Dwight. He leaves behind many cousins, nieces and nephews, members of Karen’s family, his sister’s-in-law, Ruth and Joanna Weir, Cheryl (Dave Hazelton) and brother-in-law John Weir (Colleen) and many friends and colleagues around the globe. 

 Martin was retired from the Federal Government of Canada and enjoyed life with Karen at their new home in Ottawa and their lake residence outside of Wakefield, Quebec. He will be remembered as loving husband, father and brother who loved music, travel and time with his family and friends.

 Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Tubman Funeral Home, 403 Richmond Road in Ottawa on Friday, August 9th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A Christian Service will be held on Saturday, August 10th at 1 p.m. followed by a reception. There will be no burial service.

 In remembrance of Martin’s life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to Causeway Work Centre or the Ottawa Branch of the Heart and Stroke Foundation
