Martha Heldsdörfer

Feb. 10, 1925 - May 14, 2016

Born in Romania and then left for Germany as a teen, Martha then ventured to Canada in 1952. Her four sons commend her fornher strength and courage in coming to Ottawa and creating a strong and healthy family. Mom always found joy, support and travel adventures with her church community. Peacefully at the St. Louis Residence, on Saturday, May 14, 2016. Loving mother of Rex (Shelley), Arno, Bodo (Laurie) and Victor (Laura). Proud grandmother of Dieter, Robert, Keegan, Martin, Mira, Madeleine, Troy, Kitaro, Matthew, Victoria and greatgrandmother of Djem. Predeceased by sister Katharina and brother Georg. Special thanks to all the staff at the St. Louis Residence for caring for our mother. A memorial service will be held at All Saints Lutheran Church, 1061 Pinecrest Road, Ottawa on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 11 a.m. followed by a reception. Memorial donations to the St. Louis Residence, 879 Hiawatha Park Road, Ottawa, ON. K1C 2Z6would be greatly appreciated.
