BURTON, Marshall Evans Corey
22 June 1948 – 17 November 2013
It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our dear son, brother and uncle at the Ottawa Heart Institute. Marshall is survived by his best friend and loving mother Marion (Coleman), who he was always there for, sisters Laurie, Tannis, Bonnie and Christine, "little brother" Brian, and will be greatly missed by them, his nieces and nephews, and brother-in-law Ken Graham. He was predeceased by his father, Allan. He was born in Ottawa, but made Pembroke his home for the past 30 some years, and was the owner of a small downtown business. Marshall will be remembered for his unique sense of humour, his gift of gab, his love of music which he instilled in his younger sisters and brother, his devotion to his feline "children" Friskies [sic] and Snowy, and his unwavering support of the Chicago Blackhawks, White Sox and Bears. In keeping with Marshall's wishes, no service is being held. The family would welcome donations in Marshall’s memory to the charity of your choice.
