Wylie, Mark Alexander

Mark passed away peacefully at home on March 2, 2022 at the age of 66. He is survived by his wife Ellie (née Weiler).  Cherished father of Alex (Jane), Alyssa, and Katie (Jeff).  Mark is the son of Audrey, London ON and the late William A. Wylie.  Much loved brother of Lissa Bailey ( Dan ), Kitchener ON; Nancy Miller (Glenn) and Pam Moores (Jeff) also of London. Loved uncle of many nephews and nieces.

Mark was born in Edmonton, Alberta and lived in several Canadian cities growing up as his father managed newly opened Hudson’s Bay stores. The family settled in Tillsonburg ON during Mark’s early teenage years. After high school he attended Carleton University and upon graduation remained in Ottawa to pursue a career in social work. Mark transitioned to the insurance business where he worked until his retirement.

Mark was a talented piano player and could play both by ear and by reading music. His “blues” style melodies entertained many. “Let It Be” was an all time family favourite. Everyone who knew Mark appreciated his wry sense of humour and quick wit. He will be greatly missed.
