Marjorie Davison

December 31, 1925 — April 3, 2015

Peacefully in hospital, with family by her at her bedside. Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her first love was her husband Joseph Camille Landry (d. 1982) who married her in Hull, Yorkshire, England on August 24, 1944 making her a War Bride. She came to Canada in June 1945 and was fiercely proud to be Canadian. She was the daughter of the late Richard Baker and Florence Davison. She was the proud mother of Peter Daniel (Elizabeth) of Halifax, Nova Scotia; and Christine Mary Gerene (George Beelen). Her cherished grandchildren are Daniel Landry (Jennifer Skidd), Brent Landry (Kathy McEachern) and Benjamin Beelen. To her delight she had two great-grandchildren from Dan and Jennifer - David and Caroline. She was the wonderful sister to the late Edward Davison (late Lore), late Enid (Ernie Garton) and Peter Davison (late Brenda) all of England. Aunt of many nieces and nephews in England and of Cecile and Cappy Griffin (Syracuse, New York) and Ann and Jim Seguin (North Bay, Ontario). Marjorie had many friends especially Joan Johnson. Mom also had numerous creative talents and we were all enriched by her knitted, crocheted and other artistic projects. But most of all we will miss her love and generosity. She spent the last few years at Chartwell Kanata and then Starwood Extendicare. Her family would like to express their appreciation for the care she received there. Most recently we want to thank the doctors, nurses and personal care attendants at the Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus for their care and compassion. Funeral Mass to be held at St. Martin de Porres Parish in Bells Corners on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Condolences to the family may be made at the reception following the mass. Spring interment in Amherst Nova Scotia. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of your choice. Condolences, tributes or donations may be made at www.tubmanfuneralhomes.com
