Anne Margaret Wright (Snelgrove nee Taylor) passed peacefully at home, April 22/23 with family by her side. Margaret is survived by her brother Norman Taylor, 6 children, Dorothy McEvoy (Larry) Cynthia Nakashoji (Tim), Ruth Tessier (Dennis), Patricia Snelgrove, Charles Snelgrove (Susan) and Will Snelgrove, 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her father Fred W Taylor, mother Doris Taylor, brother Fred Taylor, first husband Malcolm Snelgrove and second husband Reginald Wright. Margaret was born Apr 3,1934 in Bristol Quebec. By school age the family had moved to Ontario where mum attended various elementary schools and graduated high school in Carp, Ontario. She went on to get two degrees, an Arts degree at Queens University and Music degree at the Royal Conservatory of music. She met and married Malcolm in 1954 and raised her family on the Pinhey farm in Dunrobin, Ontario. She was involved at the school board, she did books for a local garage and helped managed the family school bus business. Margaret moved to Oshawa in 1978 where she taught piano at various studios in and around the area and worked as a receptionist at a senior home. She met and married Reg Wright in 2011. Margaret stayed in the Ajax area up until 2020 at which time she moved to Kelowna to be cared for by her family in B.C.
A celebration of Margaret’s life will take place on Aug 20/23, 11:30 at the Tubmans funeral home in Carp Ontario.
