Margaret Joan Fraser

We are heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of Joan on October 28, 2024 at the Civic Hospital. Predeceased by her dear husband Ian Fraser and beloved daughter Victoria Fraser. Survived by her children Lee Fraser King (Darren) and Gord Fraser. Adored G'ma Joan to Angus, Axel and Emma. Cherished sister, aunt and great aunt to the Murphy and Downey clans.

Joan was fiercely independent, and bravely adventurous. Always ready to share cherished memories and words of encouragement. Once an educator and transitioned to raising her family full time. Renowned for her activism in many amateur sports in the Capital Region.

Funeral services will take place at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road on Friday, November 1st at 2pm immediately followed by a reception. A private burial will take place at a later date. Donations can be made to the Arthritis Society of Canada, if desired.
