COX, Lyle Irwin passed away peacefully at the Ottawa Hospital, General Campus, on Friday, September 30th, in his 92nd year. Beloved best friend and husband of 67 years to Marion (nee Dick). Loving father of Donald and wife Lisa (nee Baron), and cherished grandpa of Carter. Dear son of the late Wallace and Velma Cox. Dear brother of the late Graham Cox, the late Dorothy & Lorne Campbell, Mildred & Gene Simpson, Evelyn and the late Garnet Doe. Special adopted “Pa” to Ross, Sandra, Reagan and Camryn Wallace. Dearest friend of Debbie Cavanagh and Larry Deugo. Lyle will be fondly remembered by his dear nieces and nephews, Janice, Dalton, Grant, Lara, Greg, Nadine, Colleen, Ken and their families.
Lyle was a pillar of his community, and a cherished friend to so many. Born, raised and rooted in Carp, Lyle will be deeply missed in the community he called home for his 92 years.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the exceptional staff at the Carp Commons and the General for their loving care for Lyle over his last days.
Friends may call at the Carp Chapel of the Tubman Funeral Homes, 115 Rivington St., Wednesday, October 5th, 5pm - 8pm. Funeral Service will be held at Christ Church Huntley, 3008 Carp Rd on Thursday, October 6th, 11am. Interment Parish Cemetery.
