Lucille Paz-Pupo, nee (Prevost), passed away peacefully on September 23, 2020, in Ottawa at the age of 96. Beloved Mother of Hilde. Daughter of the late Arthur and Irene Prevost of Rockland. Sister of the late Alice Lacasse, Yvette Richard, Jacqueline Boileau, Roger Prevost, and Jeanne Claire Welcome. Aunt and great aunt to many nieces and nephews. She will be remembered for her determination, generosity and compassion for those less fortunate. Throughout her twenty-nine years of service at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in both Ottawa and Toronto, she was recognized for her extraordinary devotion and loyalty to the association. In her final years, while challenged with reduced mobility, she was uplifted by the glorious classical music broadcasted on CBC Radio 2. We are grateful to Mary, Felicity and Una, three personal support workers who cared for Lucille with such love and dedication.
"Do not stand by my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the morning hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand by my grave and cry,
I an not there; l did not die."
By Mary Elizabeth Frye.
