Lucas Christopher Nuttall was born on December 9, 1998 and left this world far too young at the age of 19 after a long struggle with depression.
Lucas enjoyed canoeing and camping, snowboarding, drawing, reading and video games. In his younger years, he was an active participant in Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. He loved group camping, Kub Kar rallys and other activities. He loved to engage in debates on current issues. He loved food, especially spicy foods and would often have a bottle of sriracha sauce on hand. He also had a love of sweets, especially enjoying home baked goods. Lucas will be remembered for his playful nature with children, beautiful eyes and his unique perspective on life.
He leaves behind his parents Christopher Nuttall and Tanya Power, his paternal grand-parents Nelson and Barbara Nuttall and maternal grand-father William Power and step-siblings Dominic and Camryn and step-mother Stephanie. He also leaves behind aunts and uncles Jennifer, Mathew, Michael, Andrea, Lorrain, Christopher and Patrick and cousins including Josh, Jonathan and Toby, as well as a host of extended family. He is predeceased by his maternal grand-mother Barbara Power. Lucas will be greatly missed by family and friends.
A celebration of Lucas’ life will be held at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Rd. Nepean on Saturday June 1, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
